Wicked, formerly known for their high-end adult movies but also has chosen to endeavor on a different path in the adult industry. The path of creating the Wicked Sensual Care Collection. I had the possibility to ask some questions about Wicked Sensual Care. We talk with Cassie Pendleton, the Marketing Director for Wicked Sensual Care. She has been in this amazing industry and also “in lube” for just about 10 years now. Cassie says that she is, a self-proclaimed “lube nerd” – just love the chemistry and finesse of how a lubricant formula comes together.
The company is called Wicked Sensual Care. Why the name?
Wicked Sensual Care as a brand name came naturally as a brand extension for the adult film production company – Wicked Pictures, also owned by the same person. When we decided to develop personal lubricants, Wicked Sensual Care was the natural brand name to go with.
What can you tell us about the team behind the company?
Gosh, I love our team so much! We’re a small but mighty team of mostly women who truly love the brand and have a deep connection to the work we do. We definitely take our core purpose to heart in each of our roles for the company.

How and why was decided to get into making lubricants?
The Wicked Pictures brand has been recognized as a brand of integrity and quality for over 25 years in our industry. Beyond making quality and story-driven movies that appeal to a wide audience- Wicked Pictures, for example, has been the only condom mandatory production company in the industry for well over 15 years. This is just one example of how Wicked Pictures operates with integrity and sexual health and wellness in mind. The decision to do a brand extension was made and lubricants, at the risk of sounding cheesy, seemed like the best fit and way to “bottle” that commitment to sexual health and wellness while bringing new and exciting formulas to the market.

What kind of products are you offering? Could you give us a short introduction to your portfolio?
We produce lubricants, enhancement products, and toy cleaners. We jokingly, but seriously always say “We’ve got a lube for that!”
The product offerings range from water-based to hybrids to silicone-based lubricants. We also have warming and cooling formulas as well as a delicious range of flavored lubricants! We offer different viscosities, hypoallergenic options, and truly everything in between. Every product we formulate is done with a special intention. We use natural ingredients and innovative enhancements like Olive Leaf Extract – a natural biostatic that helps to curb the spread of any harmful bacteria and microorganisms. We formulate from an intimate skincare perspective and our goal is always to innovate the category as a whole with each new formula.
I am super proud that we can be a company with options so folks can find exactly what they’re looking for in a WSC bottle.
What can you tell us about the design process of flavor? What’s most important for you in this process?
Ooooh, this is such a fun category of product to develop! We set out from the start to overcome the usual “issues” with flavored lubricants. We didn’t settle for any formulas that had the typical chemical aftertaste or that used sugar derivatives for sweeteners because of the potential for irritation. And of course – they have to taste delicious! We are beyond proud of our flavored lubricant line as we have everything from the “classics” like Strawberry, but then we’ve also created exciting flavors like salted caramel, sweet peach, and a cinnamon bun for variety and distinction.
What makes your products special and unique?
You’ll find natural elements like vitamin E, Aloe in many of our products as well as natural warming and cooling agents for our sensation lubricants. Some examples of these are natural peppermint, ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Our addition of Olive Leaf Extract to all water-based, hybrids, and toy cleaners is another thing that sets us apart. This ingredient gives our users the extra peace of mind that their lube is working beyond reducing friction to protect them- naturally. We steer clear of harsh ingredients and everything we make is paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty-free as well.
What is the main difference, if there is one, between what you make for a woman and what you make for a man?
We do not gender any of our products. We believe that lube is for everybody and depending on someone’s wants and needs- we’re confident they can find a WSC product that they’ll love, regardless of their gender.

The biggest topic on everyone’s mind nowadays is the coronavirus and social distancing. What have you been doing during this time to stay upbeat?
We’re lucky in the sense that we make a product that people can enjoy in the comfort of their home and that provides pleasure whether that’s partnered or solo. Holding tight to this mission, we’ve stayed upbeat knowing that people can find pleasure with our products even during these sometimes hard, uncertain, and difficult times.
What’s coming up for you? What is the plan for 2021?
2021 is sure to bring exciting new products, but mostly we plan to continue to bring the WSC difference to those near and far, one bottle at a time.
